Medi Clinic Potchefstroom is situated in the academic city in the North-West Province, this hospital has an amazing tranquil view with beautiful trees and nature. The Hospital is continuously expanding to accommodate more people in their facilities, to improve the medical services they provide to the local area and community.

Metraclark together with Donnavan from QCK worked on supplying a VRF system that will provide both heating and cooling capabilities to the different wards and offices within the hospital as well as to operate efficiently with optimized power consumption on site. A VRF system removes the need to have an outdoor unit for each individual split, as well as allowing for longer than usual pipe runs with various sizes and types of indoor units that can be used, and with the possibility of placing the outdoor units on the rooftop creates an aesthetically pleasing installation. This system is suitable for a wide selection of Cassettes and High wall units with various capacities.
Due to the size and nature of their business, the hospital expansion has been split into phases, phase one of the project was started and completed in 2016, phase two is currently in progress and the target is to complete before the end of 2018.
Medi clinic is planning for the future and therefore chose a system that uses R410A refrigerant, inverter technology, and heat recovery, meaning its energy efficient even more so when the system is used in both heating and cooling modes simultaneously.

Donnavan from QCK and Medi Clinic Potchefstroom are happy with the system and its performance and back up support received from Metraclark, and both are hoping that our partnership will continue and that our equipment will be selected for the 2nd phase of the project as well.
