On the 6th of December 2013 Metraclark held their annual potije kos competition. This years “M” theme left the door open to interpretation and that is exactly what the teams did. Allowing their creative juices to flow, the teams went all out to try and win the coveted prize and bragging rights for a year.
The day was filled with everything from Motor Sports and Racing to a Merry Christmas, pausing for a quick bite at Mamas kitchen, and included a fleeting visit from Alice in Wonderland from the Mad Hatters Tea Party theme. There were no security breaches thanks to the Magnum PI’s on the scene who kept the Makarapas Shebeen under control, and through it all the Mauritians simply sat back and enjoyed soaking up the sun. Some divine food surfaced from Mavis’ kitchen as well as Magic meals team. There were the Mafikizolo team who chilled in their Motherland and those astute technical Master Chefs. After some rather technical judging the Mad Hatters Tea Party came out on top with the Master Chefs from Recam following in second place.
It turned out to be yet another unforgettable day with everyone taking part and enjoying themselves. We would like to thank all the Metraclark staff who took part and to the meticulous judges, Monique Vieira (Eqstra), Bella Broekman (Bell Freight), Andrew Stafford (Expeditors), Bennie Barnard (Triton), Johan Kies (DTS/Standard Refrigeration) and Steve Ross (Skillcraft) for coming out to judge the competition. We hope you enjoyed every bite.
