Metraclark recently took the children from Kliptown Pre School on their annual Christmas outing. This year we bussed around 80 eager and excited children aged between 3 and 6 years old, to Buksies resort in Eikenhof. For more than 15 years now, the company has used the opportunity to let the children experience something different that they don’t frequently get to do.
The weather played its part which meant the children got to use the swimming pools, water slides, jungle gyms, trampolines, jumping castles and many other facilities on offer. The day included plenty of singing and ball games and some of the Metraclark staff showing their artistic side, or lack thereof, with some face painting. The children were sent home with balloons, a small gift and a happy heart filled with joy.
For the staff who assisted, the simple act of kindness which results in a smile on a child’s face is one of the best things to experiences. It reminds us that good will always trump the bad. For the children who experience something different, it allows them to build character and confidence and continue to believe in the good of the world.
